What is Kid Beowulf?

Kid Beowulf is a comic that follows the adventures of twin brothers Beowulf and Grendel across history and mythology. (Learn more about the story here). I’ve been writing and drawing Kid Beowulf for over 20 years. You may have read it as a zine, a comic strip, a webcomic, or a graphic novel over the years. Or this might be the first time you’ve heard of it! Regardless, if you like epic stories about ancient legends that are smart and fun, then Kid Beowulf is the comic for you. Subscribe to this newsletter and you’ll get weekly updates of the comic – they arrive every Saturday morning, just like the Saturday morning cartoons you grew up with. Be sure to catch up on past episodes in the publication archives.

If you enjoy what you see and become a true-blue fan then you’re ready for a paid subscription at patreon where I go in deep on behind-the-scenes material and exclusive comics.

Who is Alexis (Lex) Fajardo?

That’s me. I’m a cartoonist and have been making comics for as long as I can remember. I grew up reading stories about mythology, monsters, knights, and heroics and now I’m creating my own. By day I work as Editorial Director for the Schulz Studio making PEANUTS books and by night I’m home at my drawing board making my own. I’m a proud member of the National Cartoonists Society. I fence (with swords). And I enjoy walking my big dog Oso, while listening to podcasts.
